Welcome to Modding.wiki! The place to freely share modding knowledge about your favourite games, so we can work together to create even better mods.
This wiki began out of a desire to make it easy to both find and share modding tips and best practices for all your games. You might have wanted to mod a new game and found that a lot of the information dotted around the internet is out of date, inaccurate, conflicting or simply impossible to find. Some of the nicer modding wikis are also peppered with intrusive advertising which can get in the way of what you really want to know.
That's where Modding.wiki is different. Our plan, in collaboration with Nexus Mods, is to create a large, useful knowledge base for any moddable game you can think of. We hope to empower the community by providing a place where new and experienced mod authors can share their knowledge and help others learn how to both use mods and create mods for their favourite games.
If you're new here, check out our Contributor Guidelines for tips on how to best share your modding smarts with the world. You don't have the be a modding guru to contribute though, there are plenty of ways you can take part:
Modding.wiki is based on the excellent Wiki.js platform created by Requarks.io. As the software evolves we will be taking advantage of some of the upcoming features to further enhance your experience. Specifically, in Wiki.js 3.0 we will have the ability to create subsites under the Modding.wiki domain so each game can be split into its own site with unique side navigation. This update is stated to included numerous enhancements which will allow for better editing controls, themes and more. You can learn more about Wiki.js 3.0 here.
