This is super early in development and so is likely to evolve and change regularly. We will always do our best to provide a hassle-free migration.
By default, mods for Elegos are located in this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Elegos Playtest\Mods
To start modding, you'll need to create a mod structure.
A mod must contain:
Simons Mod
modinfo.json
file. This provides metadata about the mod that is used by Elegos to identify it.mod.png
in the mod folder. Will be used at some point...You should end up with a file and folder structure like this:
...\Elegos Playtest\Mods\<mod name>
modinfo.json
mod.png
This JSON file contains all the metadata to uniquely identify a mod. It will contain information such as id, name, description, author, mod version, dependencies etc.

To generate a unique Short GUID to be used as an ID when manually creating a Mod, use this website richardkundl.github.io/shortguid and click the Generate short GUID. Copy and paste the generated short guid that appears below the button.
Now that the bare minimum of a mod is complete, it is still empty and it doesn't actually modify anything in game.
Content is generally added under specifically named folders like audio
and language
. See these pages below for specifics.
These are pages are work-in-progress and/or placeholders.
