Before you start modding Siege Survival: Gloria Victis., you should make sure you have a legal copy of the game ready to install. If you don't own the game yet, you can pick up a copy from Steam.

Before you install the game, we recommend that you have Steam installed outside of the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folders, or have created a Steam library somewhere away from these locations. This will prevent your system security software from intefering with your modding experience.
For the best experience and fastest load times, your game should be installed on an SSD (or NVME) drive.
Once you have installed the game, you should be able to find it under Steam\steamapps\common\Gloria Victis Siege\
. Before you start modding, make sure to run the game at least once by either starting it from Steam or double clicking the SiegeSurvival.exe
executable in the game folder.

If you prefer to install your mods by hand, you can simply download the mod you wish to use and extract it to AppData folder.
You can find the correct folder by opening your File Explorer and typing the following into the address bar:

From there, you should navigate to the Black Eye Games
folder, then the Siege Survival - Gloria Victis
folder and finally the Mods
folder. The complete file path should resemble C:\Users\MikeW\AppData\LocalLow\Black Eye Games\Siege Survival - Gloria Victis\Mods
.
Each mod can be placed in it's own folder here, ensuring that the Main.xml
file is at the top level of the folder. e.g. ...\Mods\MyMod1\Main.xml
